Forever Is Just A Word
Forever...
Was the word you used,
but after awhile,
love you abused.
You had me convinced
that you were the one,
but then ended it,
once you had your fun.
You said it'd be me,
you wouldn't let go,
then let me down,
by choosing that ho.
Sometimes when I see you with her
it tears me apart,
but a friend is helping
mend my broken heart.
You took me for granted,
I was wrapped around your finger,
and only left with
the memories that will linger.
You told me you were different
in every way,
but all I was to you,
was a game to play.
You don't feel my pain,
you don't hear my cries,
I don't know what was true,
and what was lies.
I told you I didn't want to get involved,
but you convinced me to,
I knew it was wrong,
but didn't know what to do.
Yes- forever was what I heard,
but coming from you,
I should've known,
it was just a word.
So I'll say goodbye,
not knowing what went wrong,
and only wonder why,
